After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer with our private transport to the town of Yungay. From here, we change direction and head east towards the 2 Llanganuco lagoons, then to Portachuelo Pass. During the trip, we will pass through many Andean villages of the Callejón de Huaylas. We will see many snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Blanca such as Huascarán, which is the highest tropical mountain in the world. We make a short stop at the pass to take photos of many snow-capped peaks such as Pisco, Huandoys, Chacraraju, and others. After taking good photos, we begin descending towards the town of Vaquería, where our muleteer awaits us to start the hike through the Huaripampa Gorge until we reach our first camp called Paria (approximately 3 hours of hiking). Total driving time is approximately 5 hours.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer with our private transportation to the village of Cashapampa (approximately 3 hours). During the journey, we will pass through many Andean villages in the Callejón de Huaylas. We will see many mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, such as Huascarán, which is the highest tropical mountain in the world. In the village, our muleteer will be waiting to start the hike through the Santa Cruz Valley to our first camp, Llamacorral (approximately 5 hours).

During the trip, we will pass through many Andean towns in the Callejón de Huaylas. We will observe many snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, such as Huascarán, the highest tropical mountain in the world. In the town, our muleteer will be waiting to start the hike through the Santa Cruz Valley to our first camp, Llamacorral (approximately 5 hours).

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart with our private transportation toward the small village of Vaquería (approximately 4 hours). During the trip we will observe many Andean villages and several snow-capped mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, one of them being the imposing Huascarán, known as the highest tropical mountain in the world. We will pass through the historic town of Yungay, which in 1970 was destroyed by an avalanche from Huascarán. Then we will pass by the two lakes of the Llanganuco Valley and arrive at Portachuelo Pass, from where there is an impressive view of many important snow-capped mountains of the Cordillera Blanca. After taking some photos, we will arrive at the village of Vaquería, where the muleteer and pack animals will be waiting for us to transfer to the Cachinapampa campsite. Hiking time: approximately 2.5 hours.

Pick-up from the Hotel with private transportation and transfer to the south of the city heading to Cuartelhuayin camp, approximately 5 hours. Along the way, we observe many Andean villages with different customs and traditions. The distance covered this day is 186 km.

Pick-up from the selected hotel will be at 2:00 a.m. with private transportation, heading south of the city toward the Cuartelhuayin campsite, approximately a 5-hour drive. Along the way, we will observe many Andean villages with different customs and traditions. Once there, we will begin hiking along a zigzag trail up to Qaqanan Pass, where we will observe condors in flight. After taking great photos, we will start descending toward our campsite. Hiking time: approximately 6 hours.

Pickup from the hotel with private transportation and transfer to the town of Queropalca (8 hours). We have breakfast along the way. On the journey, we will pass through many Andean villages such as Recuay, Catac, Huanzalá, La Unión, Huanucopampa, Baños, and then reach our destination. Here, our muleteer with the donkeys will be waiting to transfer us to Carhuacocha Camp, located at the foot of the Yerupajá and Siula peaks. Approximate walking time: 4 hours.

Pickup from the hotel with private transportation and transfer to the town of Queropalca (8 hours). Breakfast is taken along the way. During the journey, we will pass through many Andean towns such as Recuay, Catac, Huanzalá, La Unión, Huanucopampa, Baños, and then we will reach our destination. Here, our muleteer with the mules awaits to transfer us to the Carhuacocha Camp, located at the foot of the Yerupajá and Siula glaciers. Approximate walking time: 4 hours.
