Itinerary
Day 1: Huaraz (3100m) – Morrena Camp (4900m).
After breakfast at the chosen hotel, we will travel with our private transport toward km 42, approximately 4 hours. Along the way, we pass through many Andean villages with different customs and traditions, enjoying beautiful views of mountains and lagoons. Once at km 42, the muleteer with the pack animals will be waiting to take us to the Morrena Camp of our snowcapped mountain, approximately 2 hours.
Day 2: Morrena Camp – Summit 5460m – Morrena Camp – Huaraz
We will leave early heading toward the summit. About 20 minutes from the camp, we reach the glacier where we will put on our mountain gear for the ascent, approximately 5 hours to the summit. We will enjoy beautiful views of Huascarán, the Huandoys, Pisco, and Chacraraju. After taking plenty of photos, we will descend the same route back to our camp and then return to Huaraz. The total time for this day is approximately 8 hours.
