Prevention of Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys, and Adolescents in the Tourism Sector
In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) seeks to raise awareness among regional and local authorities, tourism service providers, and the general public through prevention actions aimed at eradicating this issue in the country.
Actions
- Technical assistance to regional and local governments: We train officials working in regional and local governments on preventing the sexual exploitation of girls, boys, and adolescents in the tourism sector.
- Informative videos: We provide audiovisual material to raise awareness among officials and tourism service providers and teach them best practices to prevent SECA.
- Capacity building for tourism service providers: We raise awareness, provide information, and share best practices with tourism service providers regarding SECA prevention.
- Promotion of the subscription to codes of conduct against SECA: We disseminate the signing of the Mandatory Affidavit of Subscription to the Code of Conduct against the Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys, and Adolescents by the legal representatives of tourism service providers.
- This is in accordance with Law No. 30802, which establishes conditions for the entry of girls, boys, and adolescents into lodging facilities, aiming to ensure their protection and integrity.
